Dr. Roger Kuntz
Medical Director

Roger Kuntz

Dr. Roger Kuntz, Medical Director at Chili Animal Care, has been a part of the Chili Animal Care team for 40 years. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Dr. Kuntz enjoys working in a patient-centric practice like Chili, and values the meaningful connections to clients that he has been able to foster at Chili Animal Care over the last four decades. 

Dr. Kuntz has a passion for training the next generation of Veterinary professionals, and has been actively involved in mentoring pre-vet students for the last twenty years. Many of his mentees are now veterinarians. 

Dr. Meg Gobeli
Associate Veterinarian

Meg Gobeli

Associate Veterinarian Dr. Meg Gobeil has been working in the animal-care industry for 15 years. Dr. Gobeli enjoys working at Chili Animal Care because of the constant dedication to both patients and clients.

At home, Dr. Gobeli has one dog and one cat. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and attending art festivals. 

Dr. Naomi Salama
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Naomi Salama is the newest Associate Veterinarian at Chili Animal Care. Before joining our team, she practiced medicine at Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital, Colonial Veterinary Hospital and Ocean State Veterinary Specialists. 

A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Salama attended the University of Rochester where she majored in Evolution and Ecology. She then went on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Salama then completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services. Her professional interest is surgery. 

Dr. Salama and her wife, Emma, share their home with two cats and two dogs. In her free time, Dr. Salama enjoys singing, cello, archery, reading, and tending to her chickens and gardens.

Maria Pirrami
Hospital Manager

Maria joined the Chili Animal Care team earlier this year as our Hospital Manager. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Maria graduated from Canisius College with a degree in Marketing and Business Management. While this is her first role in the animal care industry, she has been passionate about animals her entire life and is thrilled to bring that passion into her role as Hospital Manager!

Maria loves working at Chili Animal Care because of the caring devoted staff, and is excited to be part of a team that values their clients, and consistently provides careful and compassionate care.

In her free time, Maria enjoys camping and spending time with her two dogs, Sansa and Baxter.

Debra Brennan
Client Service Representative Supervisor

Debra Brennan is a Client Service Representative Supervisor at Chili Animal Care. Debra has been working with animals for over 30 years, and enjoys being able to work with animals and their loving owners each day. 

Susan Driver
LVT Supervisor and Kennel Supervisor

Susan Driver is the LVT Supervisor and Kennel Supervisor. She has been working at Chili for nearly 25 years.

Alyssa Johnston
Licensed Veterinary Technician

Alyssa Johnston

Born and raised in Rochester, Alyssa Johnston has recently joined our team as a Fear-Free Certified Licensed Veterinary Technician. Alyssa enjoys her job because, “Chili Animal Care is a family”.  The hardworking nature, dedication, and positive attitudes of her co-workers are some of the things that Alyssa loves about her job! 
 
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog Peanut, as well as fishing, reading, traveling, and camping. 

Veronica Guzman
Licensed Veterinary Technician

Veronica Guzman

Veronica is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and has been working in the animal-care industry since 2017. Veronica enjoys working with animals because they have been her passion from a very young age. She also enjoys seeing each patient’s unique characteristics and personality shine as she cares for them. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, baking, and spending time outdoors. 

Emma Meli
Licensed Veterinary Technician

Emma Meli is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who has worked in the animal-care industry for five years. Prior to completing her degree in Veterinary Technology, Emma completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. There are many things that Emma enjoys about working at Chili Animal Care, such as building meaningful relationships with clients, patients, and co-workers, as well as being able to learn something new each day.  

In her free time, Emma enjoys hiking, camping, knitting, playing board games, and spending time with her cat Cleopatra.  

Kathryn L. Hargis
Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kathryn L Hargis is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Chili Animal Care. She was born in Chili and has lived in Rochester her whole life. Kathryn has been working with animals for 46 years. Kathryn enjoys working in the animal-care industry because it allows her to learn new skills and utilize the many skills she has learned along the way while working with both patients and their owners. 

Kathryn owns dogs, cats, and horses. In her free time, she enjoys camping as well as spending time with her husband, Paul, her children, and her grandchildren. 

Andrea
Licensed Veterinary Technician

Andrea is a Licensed Veterinary Technician here at Chili Animal Care, and has worked in the animal-care field since the age of 16. Andrea earned her degree in Veterinary Technology from Medaille College, and looks forward to working in this field for many years to come.

Erica Sampson
Client Service Representative

Erica Sampson is a Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care. She was born and raised in the Rochester area, and has been working with animals since 2004. Erica loves making meaningful connections with clients and loves being able to see their beloved pets each day. 

Erica has four cats, and enjoys reading and gaming in her free time. 

Pamela D. Crane
Client Service Representative

Pamela D.  Crane

Pam Crane has been a Client Service Representative here at Chili Animal Care since 2018. Prior to her position at our practice, Pam has been putting her love of animals into action through breeding, whelping, and caring for Miniature Schnauzers for over ten years.  

In her free time Pam enjoys gardening, biking, bird-watching, and grooming Miniature Schnauzers. Pam also enjoys spending time with her family, including her four children. 

Joy Gartland
Administrative Client Service Representative

Joy Gartland

Joy Gartland is an Administrative Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care, and has been with us for nearly five years. She has been passionate about animals from a young age and grew up with many pets, including dogs and birds. This passion for animals has remained with her, and she currently has three dogs, one tortoise, and a rabbit! 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her pets and her family, including her spouse Donna and great niece and nephew.

Janelle DiMartino
Animal Care Assistant

Janelle DiMartino

Janelle is one of our Animal Care Assistants, has been part of the Chili Animal Care team for nearly one year.  Janelle is certified in Dog and Cat CPR and First Aid, and is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician.  

Janelle enjoys working at Chili Animal Care because it means being part of a talented team of individuals that ensures every animal that crosses through our doors receives the best care possible! She also enjoys expanding her experience and learning new things everyday through working alongside technicians and doctors, and interacting with our wonderful patients.  

In her free time, Janelle enjoys spending time with her dog Maggie and her fiancé Alan. 

Jessica Tillapaugh
Animal Care Assistant

Jessica Tillapaugh

Jessica is one of our Animal Care Assistant’s, and has been part of our team for over two years. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at SUNY Geneseo, and hopes to go to veterinary school in the future.  

Jessica enjoys working at Chili Animal Care because she is able to experience the meaningful, personal relationships the Chili Animal Care team has established with our clientsShe also enjoys learning about veterinary medicine from Dr. Salama, Dr. Kuntz, and Dr. Gobeli, who are all very willing to teach as they go! 

Jessica has four cats and one dog! While she’s not at work Jessica, enjoys spending time with her pets, kayaking, biking, and exploring nearby hiking trails with her dog, Goldie.

Kaitlyn Yonder
Animal Care Assistant

Kaitlyn Yonder

Kaitlyn is one of our Animal Care Assistants, and has been part of the Chili Animal Care team for two years. Kaitlyn enjoys working alongside such a fun and helpful group of coworkers, and says that she loves learning new things from them each day.  

Kaitlyn is currently attending Genesee Community College in the Veterinary Technician program, and will earn her license in the near future. In her free time, she enjoys painting, reading, and spending time with her pets.

Maddie LeBeau
Animal Care Assistant

Maddie LeBeau

Maddie LeBeau was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and has been working in the animal-care industry for nearly three years. Maddie is an Animal Care Assistant here at Chili Animal Care, and loves being a part of our caring team. Her favorite thing about working at Chili Animal Care is working alongside her kind and helpful co-workers. She also loves working with all the patients that come through our doors – especially the regulars whom she’s come to know and love over the years! 
 
Maddie has plans to enroll in Medaille College’s Veterinary Technician School later this year, where she will earn her Veterinary Technician License. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with at family’s cottage at Conesus Lake and caring for her many pets (including three cats, a hamster, a gecko, and a bearded dragon!). 

Kathleen M. Dalcin
Kennel Assistant

Kathleen M. Dalcin is a Kennel Assistant at Chili Animal Care. She has been working with animals for almost years and loves her job. Kathleen enjoys working closely with her fellow Chili Animal Care team members, and loves learning new things from them each day. 

At home, Kathleen has one dog. In her free time, she enjoys bowling, movies, and going to mud bogs.
