Dr. Roger Kuntz
Dr. Kuntz is the Medical Director at Chili Animal Care. He was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and has been working at CAC for 39 years. Dr. Kuntz enjoys working in Chili’s client and patient-oriented practice. Dr. Kuntz has been actively involved in mentoring pre-vet students for the past two decades. Many of his mentees are now veterinarians.
Dr. Meg Gobeli
Dr. Meg Gobeli is an Associate Veterinarian at Chili Animal Care. Born and raised in Rochester, NY. Dr. Gobeli has been working with animals for 15 years. Dr. Gobeli enjoys working at an animal hospital and is dedicated to both patients and clients. At home, Dr. Gobeli has one dog and one cat. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and attending art festivals.
Dr. Cate Mattson
Dr. Cate Mattson is an Associate Veterinarian at Chili Animal Care. Born and raised in Albany, NY, Dr. Mattson received her Bachelor of Arts at University of Rochester in 2008, and later earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2017. At Cornell, she worked as both a Veterinary Research Assistant and a Veterinary Illustrator.
Dr. Mattson worked at a number of other clinics before joining us here at CAC including Pawsitive Veterinary in Brooklyn. Dr. Mattson’s professional interests center on surgery, feline medicine, preventive medicine, nutrition, and dental health. She shares her home with her husband and cats.
Dr. Naomi Salama
Dr. Naomi Salama is the newest associate veterinarian at Chili Animal Care. Before joining our team, she practiced medicine at Canandaigua Veterinary Hospital, Colonial Veterinary Hospital and Ocean State Veterinary Specialists.
A native of Pittsburgh, Dr. Salama attended the University of Rochester where she majored in Evolution and Ecology. She then went on to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Salama then completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services. Her professional interest is surgery.
Dr. Salama and her wife, Emma, share their home with Adzuki, an adventurous orange tabby; Baker, a timid long-haired indoor cat; Crook, an adorable and badly-behaved Blue Tick Hound mix; and Barley, a sweet and loving collie mix. In her free time, Dr. Salama enjoys singing, cello, archery, reading, and tending to her chickens and gardens.
Erica Sampson is a part time Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care. She was born and raised in the Rochester area, and has been working with animals since 2004. Erica loves seeing and taking care of clients and meeting their beloved pets.
Erica has four cats, and in her free time enjoys reading and gaming.
Kristina Akers is a Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Kristina has been working with animals for 12 years. At home she has one dog, a French bulldog named Brooklynn.
Debra Brennan is a Client Service Representative Supervisor at Chili Animal Care. She was born in Rochester, NY and raised in Spencerport, NY. Debra has been working with animals for 31 years. She enjoys working with animals and their loving owners.
Sam Chatfield is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Chili Animal Care. She has been working with animals for three years. At home, Sam has two dogs, three cats, and a ferret.
Pamela D. Crane
Pamela is a part-time Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care. Born and raised in Irondequoit, NY, Pamela has been working with animals since June 2018. She loves working with the animals and their owners at CAC and owns a dog of her own.
Pamela is a proud mom of two girls and twin boys. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening as well as spending time with family and friends.
Kathleen M. Dalcin
Kathleen M. Dalcin is a part-time Kennel Assistant at Chili Animal Care. She has been working with animals for almost two years, and loves her job. At CAC Kathleen enjoys her co-workers and learning new things from them.
At home, Kathleen has one dog named Chance. In her free time, she enjoys bowling, movies, and going to mud bogs.
Susan Driver is the LVT Supervisor and Kennel Supervisor. She has been working at Chili for 23 years.
Joy Gartland is a part-time Administrative Client Service Representative at Chili Animal Care. Joy was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and has been working with animals for more than three years. Because of her love for animals, Joy decided to begin working with animals after retiring from her previous job.
Joy has three pups of her own, as well as four birds. In her spare time Joy enjoys spending time with her spouse, Donna, as well as her little great niece and great nephew.
Kathryn L. Hargis
Kathryn L Hargis is a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician at Chili Animal Care. She was born in Chili and has lived in Rochester her whole life. Kathryn has been working with animals for 45 years. Kathryn likes the variety of skills she gets to utilize every day while working with both patients and their owners.
Kathryn owns dogs, cats, and horses. In her free time, she enjoys camping, as well as spending time with her husband, Paul, her children, and grandchildren.
Nickolas M. Kalaghan
Nickolas M. Kalaghan is a full time Animal Care Assistant at Chili Animal Care. He was born in Russia, and grew up in Brighton, NY. Nickolas has been working with animals for eight years, and in 2017 won the Circle of Success Award from Rochester Rehabilitation. Nikolas enjoys working with the animals at CAC as he learns a lot from them, and enjoys forming bonds with patients and clients.
At home Nickolas has two dogs and three cats. He spends his free time exercising his pets and being active outdoors.
